: It’s time to do the brakes on my ’96 M3. Do I replace with stock rotors or upgrade. I hear about these Euro floating rotors, so what are they & what’s so special about them? Where’s the best place to buy rotors stock or upgraded type? I do not want to replace the calipers.

Change rotors to Floating Rotors. They are 2 pc,with aluminum hat. Weigh less, and dissapate heat much better, and are less prone to warping than stock rotors..But you won't feel hardly any better braking without upgrade in pads..porterfields, pagid, and EBC's seem to be the favorites. You can get the rotors at any dealer, look for the best one with BMW CCA discount (NICK ALEXANDER BMW, L.A., or CIRCLE BMW in NJ)..CYA>PM3
