After reading a lot of hype about how great looking the carbon fiber products are, I happened to see some examples up close. A 97 Dakar coupe at Chris BMW in ATL had CF door panel trim, and also over the glovebox.
The interior was black.
I've no problem with anyone wanting to use CF. But I think it looks extremely cheap, and is better suited to low price sophisticated-car-wannabes. I don't understand the fascination with it. I guess I'd better put on the old flame suit now...
