If I had to do it again, I would do the following:

Replace amp with something like Kicker, ADS etc (I picked up a kicker).

Pickup the JL Stealthboxes for the 3 series and remove the rears all together. Use the rear channels of your amp (make sure the amp can adjust output levels to the rear for a subwoofer) to power the Stealthboxes. Pick up a good set of front speakers. 2 channel separates can be fit in the kick panel with a bit of modification. Leave the door panels alone....not worth messing with.

I am up to replacing the front speakers.....haven't decided on a brand yet. Many have mentioned that the MB Quart replacement speakers are two bright for the stock locations. Some have even said they would throw them out the window if they were that close to their ears.

I also picked up some crossovers which I didn't really need. Will see what I do with them in the future.
: Hi,

: I just got a 1995 m3 a few month ago. Compared to my 300zx i sold, the sound system in the m3 is less than impressive. It of course is not the harmon karden sound system, its the nokia speakers with the stock dash cassette/cd changer controls, which im happy to say i have. lol. What ways are the best to improve the sound on this car. So far i have replaced the rear 4" speakers with cerwin vega series. That improved a little. What other ways are there. I appreciate all help give, Thanks, [email protected]
