: Well, I talked to the dealer today, and through the topic of the conversation, the dealer guy tells me. By changing my own oil, I will null/void my warranty on my car. So I chuckle laugh and walk away believing that he is talking a load of crap.

: So I call BMW NA today and they tell me that yes, by personally changing my oil, I run the risk of null/voiding the warranty on my car?

: Is this true? I know it can't be or else nobody would be changing their oil on their own. I know they sell those devices that reset the lights when you do it yourself, but supposedly that voids the warranty too.

: What am I going to do?
