In Reply to: Gas Gauge Problems... posted by Sean on June 16, 2000 at 10:21:22:

It happens sometimes.....just wait...or turn the engine off and on again ...or sometimes I just hit ( not too hard) the dash-board close to the gauge and the display corrects himself. It's a 98 M3 seems like they have this problem, my car before that (another E36) had the same problem....Simple things you wouldn't expect from a BMW....Since it's hard to "re-create" the problem it's a problem when you wanna show it to the dealer....

: I have a 95 M3 and filled the car up last weekend (empty light on) and the gas gauge is still showing the light on.

: I put $28 of gas in the gauge showed full, then the next time I drove it (2 days) it keep showing the empty position and light. What gives??? Anyone else have this funky gas gauge problem on their M3...
