My quess is that you are most likely running 5 to 7 psi too much but every tire reacts differently and each driver knows what he likes.

The Falkens are fairly common and popular tires. You mostly see them on Japanese cars around here.

: My 97 coupe came with Falkens, made in Japan. I haven't heard of them elsewhere. Anyway, the tire pressure rating is 44 psi at max load. I've been running them at 42 to 44. I like the stiff ride, and I feel safer regarding potholes and bumps. Do you suppose that running at the max pressure, without the max load is hard on the tread?
