You should bring this up w/ JimC or the place you bought it from. My understanding is that the ITG is for street use and picks up particles smaller than the K&N. Of course I could be wrong.
On the sock, you should be able to pick it up from any performance shop. Especially those american racing shops. They used to be very popular as my dad had them on his SC v-8 chevy vega. Don't know if they are retro though. LOL.
