: As a cover to a K&N or any other filter to filter out even smaller particles if you live in a dusty climate? And now for the really stupid question, can you use pantyhose as a filter it's self? Just curious.

a company called Outerwears. This company supplies them for K&N who puts their logo on it...I bought 1 for my 6 3/8 X 5" K&N cylinder, and it only cost me 15 dollars. Its even waterproof, and is real useful if your CAI is exposed to the elements...Be aware, though, that according to K&N, it can reduce airflow by as much as 10%. However, if your filter is sized correctly, it should certainly be big enougn for your particular application so that it can handle this reduction and Still supply all the air your engine can use at WOT.
