: Jim C responded to the first post with the following. I hope he doesn't mind me reposting :)

: Hey *****mz3.. do you have alternate identities or
: just a split personality.. LOL.
: As far as the BPG "test".. what they posted was
: NOT the true result. Of course, if the clue
: that the JimC Intake had 4-5 more lb/ft of torque
: but somehow lost in HP wasn't a clue.. then maybe
: it's time to drive a Taurus. What happened is
: that intentionally or accidentally, the temp
: sensor was fudged with to skew the correction
: factors. I have the ACTUAL DYNO RUNS and anyone
: who'd like to see them can.. just ask, and I
: shall EMAIL them to you :) "

: : : Anybody out there with comments on whether the ECIS or the Conforti is better on performance?
: : : ECIS is a K & N cone with heat shield and goes for $199 on the Group Purchase noted elsewhere in the Message Board. Conforti intake is going for about $449 from TMS or Eurosport has a new ITG foam filter with heat shield. Both are suppose to be cold air intakes. But is there a big difference in performance? Or, the same?
: : : Would I get better performance by matching the Conforti Shark Injector with the ECIS than with the ITG?

I notice there is always an excuse when a Jim C. product doesn't perform better then the competition. Granted, his intake is engineered extremely well, that doesn't necessarily make it the best. If his intake would have come out on top, there would be no discussion, would there??? And if I ran out and spent over 5 bills on his product, I'd WANT to believe him at that point, too. I like the original finding, thank you very much. There neutral and non-biased. I doubt highly that anything was skewed to screw him. He puts out an excellent product, but common sense tells me that ECIS is the way to go for less then half the price.

BTW, I have neither. I have an Autothority intake without a heat shield. I've STILL never been beat buy another N/A M3. Have a lovely day.
