personal feeling is that, while I would MUCH prefer to do without, my general philosophy when it comes to the Authorities is the less attention drawn to myself, the better. Probably comes from growing up as a 60s hippy/radical whatever. First they pull me over for no plate. Then, they start hassling me about my loud exhaust. Next, its the tires maybe he doesnt like, or the fact that I only have 1 fog light, cause the other has a power duct in it, etc, etc, etc. Or perhaps, he finds 6 seeds in my carpet, and so on...

Get the picture? Sound a little PARANOID! Ok, I admit it....But, given that, I'll probably just bite the bullet, and spring for a nice black stainless plate cover with lexan lense. If I'm going to wear the damn thing, might as well make it look nice as possible.
