: It means you are due for another engine oil change. But since you say that you do not need one for another 2000 miles, i assume that you have changed the oil yourself (not at dealer) recently. Don't worry about the indicator lights, or if you are really bothered about it, you can ask your dealer to reset the lights for you. However it is up to the dealer whether he is willing to do that for you, since you didn't change your oil there.
