ken maybe right. i was lucky. when i had a jetta vr6, i put the chip in backwards because i lost the instructions. the car did not start. i just switched the chip around and everything was fine.

: I just got my JC chip. The directions show that you have to put the chip in the same way the factory one is; with the little divot on the chip to the left of the sticker... but my chip has the divot on the right side of the sticker. Question is... what will happen if I put the chip in the wrong way?
