: my hood doesnt shut properly. It says I have to lower the hood latch. And to lower the hood latch, you have to first unscrew the top nut and then with a flat head screwdriver turn it clockwise. The problem is that I cant get to the top nut> any suggestions? please , thankyou

You need to stick the 17mm inbetween the spring coils and loosen the nut on the latch. It's kind of a bitch to get it in there, and then you have to twist it around. And the best part is: even after you adjust it , your hood still won't fit right! I have tried adjusting it up and down, both the left and right pins, pushing the hood down on the right, pulling it up on the left and I have come to the conclusion that it's just an inherent problem with the design of the Heat Shield. The shield is too tall in a couple of spots, and I tried trimming it down with a rotary tool (cover your filter first to keep the shavings off) and it helped a little, but you will have to take off a LOT of material for it to fit right.

But hey, at least it makes horsepower...
