Thankfully, at 16 and 19 my kids don't ask those innocent questions anymore. Open question from me, though - is the Valentine the best way to go? I haven't been looking at detectors and my small $200 one seems to be wearing my brakes out. Does the Valentine install with remote sensors? And how about states like VA where state police can tell if you have one on?

: i've thought about "it lets daddy know if he's going too fast", but she knows what the speedometer is for, plus, she'll know the truth soon enough and i don't want her to look back and remember me bending the truth with her; at the same time i can't possibly be up front about it. does this mean i have to trade in the ///M for a nice minivan?
