: Guys, I'm thinking about buying a certified pre-owned M3 at a local dealer...the salesman didn't have the paperwork handy to tell me what year it is because it was literally brought in an hour befor I got there, but the car is a 96-98 off-lease vehilcle with about 25K miles on it. Car was in average condition. Had some small scratches, a few little gouges in the rear bumper, slight curb rash on one wheel, some pen marks on passenger seat. It looked like it was in decent shape, but I don't know what else to look for. What price could I expect to pay? I asked the guy ballpark, and he said high 30's, which I thought was way, way too high.
: For a car with the stated mileage and options, autosite was giving me a price of about $28K for a 96, $31K for a 97, and $34K for a 98. What price do you think would be a reasonable deal.
: thanks in advance for all of the help.
