I've had the exact impression, too. I attributed it to the getting acquainted phase, and to what I think of as inherent slop in the drive train.

I've noticed that the jerks are diminishing with time, (but not the jerk drivers out there... they're increasing).

I also agree: an "ask Bob ///M3" board would be nice!
