You cannot replace just the impeller. The pump is only around $60 from the "stealer" with CCA discount, hardly a rip off.

: Can anyone please definitively confirm whether or not an 11/95 production date M3 has a plastic impeller? I have seen this answered both ways in the archives and the mechanic at the dealer doesn't seem to know for sure either.

: I'd like to know before I buy a replacement for my 11/95 M3, w/65k miles, and hopefully before my car supplies the affirming answer.

: I second Drew's question on where to find a deal on a new OEM pump (vs the impeller alone)...surely there must be a viable alternate source to the "stealer"!

: TIA,

: : Well you guessed it. I have a 10/95 M3 and have about 54k on it. I have been meaning to get to replacing the water pump but just haven't found the time yet. Well i guess i have to make time now.
