: to a CAI. I am considering running a duct from my brake vent to in front of my Dinan CAI. I know a couple of you out there have done this...any problems. What about running from the front spoiler?

postings here about it...In case you didnt see it, I cut a 3.25" hole in the top of the brake duct, in front of where the Dinan K&N sits. Then, I took a 9" piece of 3" diameter flexible air duct hose and routed it from the mouth of the brake duct, up through the hole, and aimed it at the filter. Its a perfect fit inside the brake duct, so a friction fit holds it fine. I also removed the fog lamp, but left the bracket. I bought a bmw fog light cover, and cut out the center but for a 1/4" border, to which I glued some screen mesh for protection. It fits into the fog light bracket, and allows even more air to hit the filter. You can get more creative and deflect the air upwards, but I think it gets enough as it is...good luck. you WILL notice the difference. At least with my Dinan SC, I did.
