Looking at the video, the BMW slows at a point where spectators are clearly visible on the curb--just a few feet from his speeding car. There's also a car at the intersection on the right. I, personally, would not have street raced in such an environment. However, I have to give credit to the guy for lifting off in recognition of the street hazards. You braked in rapid succession right after, so I know you know what I'm talking about. Overall, a very stupid move to race like that. Flame on.
