: So they balance (allegedly) and mount my new tires, and she calls me at 4:30 to tell me the car is ready, they're washing it as we speak. I get there at 6:30, and the car looks like crap. The wheels are absolutely covered in greasy fingerprints. The seats have prints. The fenders have prints. There's greasy sandy grit all over the top of the steering wheel. Now there's a nice abrasion mark on the hip bolster of my driver's side sport seat. And best of all, theres an abrasion mark on the paint immediately to the right of the drivers door lock. It looks like a jack handle bounced off the quarter panel twice, and then scraped downwards on the edge of the door.
: So I bring it back the next day to show the "get ready" guy. He freaks out when he sees the car, and drives it back to the detail shop. He tells me it will only be 15 minutes and they will spiff it up. So he goes to give another customer a courtesy ride to work. While he's gone they do nothing. I can see the detail shop from the service aisle. Finally he comes back and jumps on them again, and they clean it up. He says to bring it back when its convenient and he will have the scratch touched up.
: I'm so pissed off I'm thinking about selling the car.
: I'm moving to Manatee county next month. Are the dealers better in the Sarasota/ Bradenton area? Anyone recommend a different dealer?
Dont you know how many dealers would tell you, when you brought it back the next day, "We didnt do that...You must have screwed it up after you left us...bla blah blahh". Its a drag they did it, but at least they admitted culpability, and are fixing it no charge..Believe me, youre very lucky.
