The service indicator reset tool can be used at anytime. It will however reset for the next service interval. Everything I have read says don't reset until all green leds are out. The local dealer will not reset if any more than one green led is on. By the way with full service cars from BMW the dealer will not perform "free" service until that SI service is indicated. I have heard that it is imposssible to get to Service II prior to milage or time running out. So they "gotch ya": If anyone out there knows how to use the reset tool, when to use it. Do you have to wait until the oil service light comes on which flashes yellow or red, then change the oil then reset it with the reset tool, or can you change the oil before the yellow light flashes with the oil service and use the reset tool. Will the reset tool not screw up the scheduling when it resets it.

: Please can anyone tell when and how to use it
