I saw an A&E "investigative reports" on street racing in a Canadian city (can't remember which, but there's only 3-4 anyway). The widely-acknowledged "fastest import street racer in Canada" could turn sub-12 second times with his Civic, enough to trounce a stock M3 and even a relatively modded one. His car had over $20,000 in mods, making it's price about equal to an M3. Not to mention all the reliability of a 60s MG and enough obviously non-street legal parts to accumulate thousands per year in illegal equipment citations. What an idiot.

: OK, I'll step up and admit a tricked out civic might beat a stock M3.

: That said, you guys that think you're pulling something extremely cool with this hubris, have possibly missed something about the M3.

: What's the cost of a tricked out Civic?
: What's the cost of a stock M3? Yeah, yeah, what year, what mods, etc... doesn't really matter for the point of this illustration.

: And that point is: in general, the guy with the stock M3 can obviously afford a tricked out civic... kinda gives pause, doesn't it?

: btw, I've had rice for over fifteen years. Don't have any now. Nothing wrong with it... rice just gets kind of bland after awhile. No matter how you jazz it up, no matter what you throw in the dish, whaddya got? Rice.
