There is a little bit of a break-in period with the yellow crush washer, about 500-1000 miles.

Are you sure it was installed correctly? The outer aluminum washer/spacers are designed to go one way only (as in the instruction guide). If they are installed flipped around, there will be extra friction. Consult the shop that did the install to double-check.
