It's the compressor and or the clutch for the AC. If not too loud it is probably not abnormal. First 134a systems generate very high pressures and by nature tend to be a bit loud. Second if the noise is not there when the AC is off it is probably not the clutch which would make a growling sound at idle. One possibility is a loose pulley or a vibrating fan belt. If the pulley wobbles, replace the pulley-clutch unit. If it is the belt just learn to live with it. If the noise is transient it is most likely pressure related and as such normal. When compressor goes your unit will blow warmer air.
