: That's about the most intelligent observation I have read on this board. AMEN.
: : Over 40,000 M3's have been sold in the last 5years in the United States (yes WAY over 40k cars), which means that out of 40000 owners, MANY are into these type of arguments, and 'showing' off the M3..which then makes it the target for all the other boys with any other cars out there. If all the M3's were driven by older people that didn't talk smack, like say many ferrari owners or something, the cars wouldn't be hammered on on the boards. You don't hear people saying "oh Ferraris suck, too expensive, bla bla bla" as much as you hear about the M's..it's the younger generation of M owners that take this ridicule and try to talk smack back (I am considered younger gen myself, btw)! If we all had Ferrari's, I don't think we'd even listen to flame posts about Ferraris. But everyone here seems to take it so personally (AND SERIOUSLY, when it's TOTAL BS, EVERY F'N TIME) when someone flames the M3, which motivates these flamers to post and post and post this kind of crap everywhere. And then we go into their boards and do the same!! It's soooo many of the M3 owners' fault as well, I believe. But seriously, anyone here that think something is wrong with this car for $40k should probably have their head examined, or s/he is not really "Driving" their M3...Just my .02.. CYA>PM3
: : : I've an avid fan of Honda for a few years (own a Prelude), but looking to get into an M3 shortly. I frequent both bimmer.org and honda-acura.net. I check out the Type R board sometimes to see what's going on and there is more B.S. comparing the M3 vs. the R.
: : : I'm not much of a Hype...err Type R fan and it just amazes me that R owners think their cars are on par or superior to the M.

: : : Please don't start a flame war with the guys on that board. They are pretty cool, but some get out of hand.
