In Reply to: ? regarding Performance Chips from BMP & in genera posted by jasonm3 on June 24, 2000 at 13:09:11:

I forgot to mention a couple things.
The previous owner had a new ECU put in because the engine had to be replaced. The chip came off of this old ECU. My question is, will this chip work on the NEW ECU?

Build date is 7/95.

Thanks again

: When I bought my car used last year, the owner also gave me a chip that was previously on the car but he had taken off.
: My question is, will this chip just take off the rev/speed limiter or will it also improve performance?

: The chip reads:
: Dinan Engineering Performance Chip
: D900-2942 C
: On the top right corner, BMP is written in marker/pen?!

:
: I suppose I might as well stick it in. Any tips or website that I can go to for directions?

: THanks in advance!
