In Reply to: one additional question... posted by jasonm3 on June 24, 2000 at 13:18:21:

: I forgot to mention a couple things.
: The previous owner had a new ECU put in because the engine had to be replaced. The chip came off of this old ECU. My question is, will this chip work on the NEW ECU?

: Build date is 7/95.

: Thanks again

: : When I bought my car used last year, the owner also gave me a chip that was previously on the car but he had taken off.
: : My question is, will this chip just take off the rev/speed limiter or will it also improve performance?

: : The chip reads:
: : Dinan Engineering Performance Chip
: : D900-2942 C
: : On the top right corner, BMP is written in marker/pen?!

: :
: : I suppose I might as well stick it in. Any tips or website that I can go to for directions?

: : THanks in advance!

Nop, you need to send in your new ECU to get a new chip. your old chip will not work with your new ECU. Sorry~ Hope this helps
