Returning from the beach today, my V1 picked out every cop with at least a minute or so of warning. I watched three idiots get tickets, two of which had radar detectors on their dashboards without a single light blinking. I love my V1, and will never buy another brand unless they prove to me that it's better than a V1. (Good luck) If cost is a major motivating factor for wanting the "best radar detector after Valentine 1," I'd wait a little longer and save your money. The first ticket it saves you from will more than pay for itself. On a sidenote, the V1, or any radar detector for that matter, cannot save you from a cop who's giving out tickets with no radar gun. I've gotten those before, but they're easy to fight in court. Best of luck with whichever one you choose, but don't scrimp to save a few bucks now. It will cost you in the long run.
