I put mine in a few days ago. At first... the hood wouldn't shut without pushing down on it. The instructions suggest that you could adjust the hood pins(what a hassle). After a few days... the hood is now almost flush. I think this is the best it is gonna get. It fits better now, if I drop the hood... it'll shut. I pushed everything down as far as possible, and the filter still hits the hood. I can see marks from the dust retention residue.
FYI: The intake tube and heatsheild material seems cheap. Feels like it could crack or brake easily. But the performance is noticealbe. I dont see the justification for the price really.

: How did the hood fit after you installed Jim's setup? A couple of posts here seem to indicate that there's a fitment problem with a closed hood.
