I just got back from D.C. from an interview and was feeling stressed, so I decided to go for a late night drive. After cruising the Blue Ridge parkway for a while, I felt better and decided to go home. I was at a red light, next to an older body style Z28. Ahead, the road ahead narrowed into one lane. When the light turned green, I accelerated (not racing, just hitting my normal 3500-4000 rpm shifts). I even let the camaro get ahead of me before merging. He thought I was racing him(and that he beat me), and he must have been psycho. He then flicked me off. I didnt think too much of this. Then, he slammed on his brakes, coming to a stop (as fast as he could) at the interstate on-ramp. Now I was pissed because he was trying to cause me to hit him. Luckily, as you all know, my brakes are superior and I didnt hit him. He started slowly accelerating as did I, from a distance behind him. When the road opened up, I tried to go around him, but he started swerving all over the road in front of me to keep me from passing. This guy was getting seriously dangerous. After a few attempts, I got to the side of him and floored it (as did he). Well I pretty much wasted him and now he was seriously mad. At the next light, he was behind me and was yelling for me to pull over. I didnt react. Then, he jumped out of his car. Thats when I knew this was really out of control. I did an emergency right in the middle lane (I know its illegal but you gotta do what you gotta do and I could see no cars were coming). I didnt want my car kicked, or worse. My question is, whats wrong with these people? Anyone have similar experiences with psychos? Dont blame it on young people either, because Im 23 and this guy was older. P.S. When my interviewer was driving me from aiport to his office 10 min away, he was forced off the road onto the shoulder by some idiot. People need to learn to chill.
