I don't know what your 'real race' background is. and I don't know how old you are but judging from your post I'm guessing under 20. I have a '95 turbo M3 and I autocross it all the time. My advice for you is to wait until you have some more driving experience before you get a turbo. It's really, really, really easy to break the rear end loose in a 350HP car turbo M3. Well, maybe not with 20" rime :-). But seriously the turbo M3's, even the stage 1's are faster that a Vette but usually with less rear tire.

"You'll shoot yer eye out, kid."

'Course me saying this will probably make you want it more so at least get some autoX and track time under your belt in the car before you turbo it, and even more after.

Good Luck,
Matt

: I got sick and tired of my Subaru RS 2.5. I want a real race car, and my daddy says I can get anything up to $35k.

: Any recommendations? I have been looking at '96 and '97 M3s, but if I get a '95 I can also talk him into getting me some cool 20" rims and a turbo!

: What should I do?
