I think it's Dinan's warranty covers the upgrade, not BMW. I am not sure - just what I heard. I would check the web site to be sure.

I have the Shark upgeade and have had no problems at all. I really like it and the customer service fro Josh at Eurosport.

Just my opinion.

i>: I was in the same situation for my 98. After doing some research I decided to go with the Dinan Stage II. A local tuner shop around my area (Motor Works West for those in North Jersey) has dealt with both, and he said that he has never had a problem with a Dinan program, while he has encountered some with the Jim C. They do basically offer the same performance, but for your 97, you will have to send your ECU out (unless you know a tuner that has a MIPP which can program ECU while it is still in car was unavailable for 3 days, but I was lucky enough to borrow for brother's car for that time. Also, Dinan is recognized and backed by BMW themselves, so that must say something about the project. Anyway, after I picked up my car (last week) with the Dinan Stage II and ECIS intake, I noticed a huge difference in acceleration, especially after 3500 rpms. Well, sorry this turned out to be so long, but I hope it helps.

: Good Luck!
