I bought my M Coupe there. I think you must have gotten a bad sales man. I was originally there to test drive a 95 Dakar Yellow M3. After the test drive I didn't like it too much. After talking to the salesman, I changed my mind and wanted a Z3 2.3. The salesman told me to test drive all the different models and then decide which one I want. So my and my GF spend about 4 hours test driving Z3 2.3, to Z3 2.8, M Roadster, and then finally M Coupe. I had already test driven the Z Coupe and decided that I didn't like it that much. Through out the test drive after we came back with one car the other one was ready with the keys in the ignition and all we had to do was drive them. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience there, I'll bet if you got in touch with the right sales man you would have had a better experience. BTW I am not rich nor an exchange student but I know what you mean, I graduated from UCB in 96.

If you ever decide to go back to Weatherford for any reason, seek out Guy Parrish, he has been there for a long time and an upfront person. He will not jerk you around. Tell them the person who bought the Dakar Yellow M Coupe recommended him. :) Heheh couldn't stay away from the Dakar :)

: I bought my car from someone who originally bought it at BMW of SF. They were respsonsible for installing much of the aftermarket parts on the car (LTW wing, Dinan "chip" etc). They do good work and are pretty professional.

: I've hade my seatbelt sensors (the one that activates the nice ABS light if you hit some bumps) replaced and the usual recall work done.

: The bad thing is getting to San Francisco (near market st and van ness) during the day.

: Also, I must stress...DON'T EVER GO TO WEATHERFORD BMW.

: They shoved a credit application in my face when I asked to test drive a used M3 there. Very rude. They'll never give you any brochures either if you're not a rich exchange student! THey get a lot of business from Berkeley students/residents but they're still rude to them...I don't understand.
