I have never heard of anyone saying that you should try to take scratches out with force instead of multiple applications.

I would suggest a detailer to use a rotary to put medium cut down to cut the rest of the paint down to the level.

Or you can try a porter cable machine to do this.

Sorry to say but the solutions that people are offering here are huge invitations to disaster.
Using a lot of pressure when you detail is a bad idea.

Not to say it wouldn't work...but it might not work for you.
