Seth:

From my own experience, I got fed up with jacking up the car and then using Jack stands. Someone mentioned Rhino Ramps a while back. I broke down and went to Wal-mart where these are available for thirty bucks. They are light and the M3 rolls right up on them without a problem. Why I didn't do this sooner - who knows?

However, Bob appears to have a fine method of acheiving the same result. Had I known this before buying the ramps I probably would have used his method and saved $30.

: After about a hundred trips to the Aid Auto store looking for some ramps, and adapters, to raise up my M3, I'm getting tired of ordering them and having them sold before I get there. Anyway, how difficult is it to jack up the car with a floor jack, or BMW car jack, and lower it onto jack stands. I'm thinking about just buying the damn stands and a floor jack instead of wasting my time waiting for these ramps. Two questions. 1) Is it difficult? 2) Will the car fall on me? The ramps seem fairly idiot proof, so that's my main appeal to them. Any info is greatly appreciated by myself and my car. (It's time for an oil change.)

: Seth
