oil service, inspection 1, & inspection 2 are the 3 sets of scheduled maintenance. insp. 1 includes everything in oil service plus more, and insp. 2 incudes the first 2 plus more things. the maint. cycle (every 8-12k miles) goes oil, inspection 1, oil, inspection 2, oil, inspection 1, etc.

I think I am a little confused. Could someone straighten me out?

When you bring your car in for an oil change because the green lights have gone out, does this necessarily coincide with Inspection 1 (or 2)? The inspections and the oil services are indepndent mechanism, right? From what I have read, as per the cars computer, the first oil change is usually done around 8-10 K miles, depending on how you drive; then the first inspection is done around 16-18K miles. Is this correct?

Thanks -
