Are the REAR coilovers adjustable for E36 chassis? (archive)

The stock configuration is not setup like a "coil over" design. How do they fit a "coilover" onto the rear suspension perch?

were even lower then the racing springs (red). Got the bilstein coilovers now on the medium, I can still drop the car like at least 1.5 inches but it would be undriveable.
