first my car overheated and blew the radiator. i just changed the radiator today and the manual says 10.5 litres is the capacity of the cooling system. well i probably added 5 litres at the cap and it would not take anymore even with that screw next to the cap opened(i'm guessing its for letting the air out). so i turn the engine on and the level would not go down at all so i figure that its full. but now my car is overheating and the coolant level isn't down. i have five litres in there unless there was some left in the engine even after taking the radiator off. WHAT'S wrong ? is it my water pump. am i missing something??
please help. thnx
zaidoun

you have to make sure that all the air is purged from the system. Secondly, if after that it is still overheating, check the water pump and its housing, the housing is made of plastic and is prone to cracking.
regards
Joe
