The "vader" seats are the non lux seats. They are called this because they resemble Darth Vader. The reason why I am so interested in the difference is because I currently have a standard 4-point sabelt harness. I had this harness mounted in my e46 328i, and it worked very well. Where do you mount the back part of your harness? I've heard that if you fold the seat down and mount it to the top of the trunk, this will reduce the effect of submarining.

I dunno as I'm 5'7"! If you don't ever have to push yourself up in the seats you might be okay.

What are the "Vader" seats? I have the leather Lux seats in my '96 and I would probably have to learn to drive from the floor if I didn't use the dead pedal.

Is there a big differnce in price? I raced FF and FF2000 a while ago and really did like the ansi-sub harnesses much better while semi-reclined.
