Usually it's not a concern but that seems to vary by dealership. I would recommend you call their cust. svc. and ask them if a software upgrade would effect your warranty because you are thinking about getting it done. They will tell you straight up if it is going to be an issue or not.

My dealer told me that it wouldn't and it only would if it is something that is a direct cause of a problem you are wanting fixed under warranty.

I am taking my 97 M3 for inspection II to the dealer.
Should I tell him that I am sharked (JC software), so that he
does not try to upgrade (delete) my software?
I don't have Shark Injector.

Will my warranty void if I tell him so?
