I usually shift at 3000rpm or higher. Most sports cars shift at that rpm. My mechanic mentioned that the M3 is a high-rev engine, so it won't hurt to shift at 3000rpm or higher. Just don't take it past the redline.

What rpm is defined as a proper shift point on a M3?Around the vicinity of 4500rpm? Would it be stressful on the engine to go over? Any comments i will appreciate and most importantly learn from!
