JimC Software seems to offer more power to a stock M3 than Dinan Stage 1 software.
Dinan software is Emissions legal where as Jim C software is not.
If you can find a Dinan dealership you are better off with Dinan from a support standpoint.
If not than the Shark Injector lets you load the stock software back into your car when need be.
When you start adding intake modifications the Dinan start to offer more. Those who install bored out throttle bodies, Euro HFM, Cold Air Intake, etc seems to be happier with Dinan software. Similar components on JimC software vehicles seem to result with customers that felt no difference. Dinan stage 1-5 specifically tunes for each of these add on intake components.
JimC software offers more power in the below 4Krpm level than any stage Dinan software.
Dinan costs more.
Most people who are concerned about support go with Dinan. Most people that want the biggest bang for the buck go with JimC. The Shark injector has made it easier to switch back to stock software which helps eliminate alot of the "support" issues.
I've got Stage 2 with Cold Air intake and Dinan Exhaust. Suppose to boost me upto 260 horsepower and I believe it. Very happy with the system.
