I noticed my car was low on oil about a month ago. I added about half a quart. I eventually found a damp oil spot behind the oil filter on the engine block. My mechanic at first thought it was nothing and just oil from the previous oil change. He finally put my car on the lift and found an unusual amount of oil.
I took the car to the dealer and they replaced the Crush Ring at the Vanos Oil Supply Line( part# 32-41-1-093-596 ) free of charge -CPO-. They also lubed the squeaky clutch pedal. They say the clutch pedal bushing is being dried out by it's close proximity to the exhaust manifold and will have to be lubed regularly.
