just thoguht you guys would like to know, i went for a test drive today at the lexus dealership, and came back very surprised. i had alot of pre-conceptions about lexus's before i went in there, but that changed. to cut to the point, i was very surprised in the IS. it has a very strong I6, not as powerful as our M's, but enough for everyday driving. the handling was very comparable to my M3\4, which is stock. all togther it is a very nice package, i got a price of 34635 loaded with a limited slip. for that price, it blows the M3 away, with half the options that the M3 has are stock on the IS. so, as i said earlier, it is a very nice car for the price, and i would consider it as a replacement for my M3 when my lease is up. just thought you guys would like to know.

why do they pick on the lower class versions of the competition, and not ones of the same caliber
I have seen lexus go at Beemers ie: sc coupes they
used to target the base model 3 series and 5 series. Lexus is not so hot I embarressed a sc400
coupe with my 85 M635 beemer....
