1) Which carrier should I go with and do they pick it up at your door?
2) Where can I get boxes that cand handle the weight?
3) How much will it cost?
Any experiences out there?

Thanks,

It's actually easier to ship rims with tires than just rims alone. You can tie them together in pairs with circular cardboard pieces on the parts of the rims facing outward and one in between the rims. The tires will protect the edges of the rims.

As for shipping, you have several options depending on how far you want to send it. UPS ground is always a good way to go. Also, you may be able to look into rail shipping or air shipping - you would drop off the rims and tires at a designated counter at the train station/airport and the other person would have to pick them up. I've heard that this is a fairly cheap way to go, but with no door-to-door service.
