I'm really sorry about your engine. That really sucks. It seems like we're both having bad luck. Someone keyed my car badly on Tuesday night. Well, time to put in the euro engine.

hi all,

after found out my engine needed to be replaced, i am heart-broken. after 2 major mis-shifted, (2nd one was the worst, redline at 3rd, then shifted into second, ouch!) the valves are bent, and the 6th cyclinder has been chopped off into little aluminum pieces. they went into the intake manifold, and backfired to the throttle body.

to make it short, i would like to give out some advises to all your M3 owners.

1) DON'T mis-shifted
2) spend $300 for the UUC or whatever brand short shifter kit. (i am telling you NOW, it worths to install.)
3) spend another $85 for the Momo shift knob. (i can 100% guarantee you can avoid major mis-shift. since the factory shift-knob is so tall, sometimes you're just can't tell if it's fully engaged to the gear. aftermarket knobs tend to give you a clearer shift pattern.)
4) if you hear ANY rattling noise, don't drive it anymore, don't floor it and see you can tell the different of the noise. (well, i DID not do that.)

i'll post some pictures of my XXXXed up block today or tomorrow. i just hate to see a totalled block. i have never seen one or damaged one like this in my entire life. it's heart-broken.

while i am sorting out the pictures, i would like to ask for your help: please email me or response my message if you have a 3.0L US Spec M3 engine want to sell. or if you know anyone wants to sell it. i don't want the LTW version...

i am glad that i went to the M3 meeting last week, that was the last day my E36 took the last breath of its life. =~~~ i should have know there's something wrong with the car after clocked the 0-60 in 6.85sec...

thanks for reading my post, and like i said, i'll post more photos later.
