There's no point in hashing out the BMW vs Audi feud again. Other than the inumerable problems I encountered with my Audi, perhaps one of the most compelling points of not to own an Audi is the dealers. The dealers I dealt with (Texas & NJ)
let you know up front that if you are not a Porsche customer, your needs come second. They could care less if you have a problem and the service department keeps the best mechanics on the Porsche side. The dealers still view the Audi as just an expensive VW and treat their customers accordingly. While I can say plenty of bad things about the BMW dealers in Houston, I can not say I have been ignored or deliberately mistreated. They show me respect, and I have to admit, the dealerships look like they are proud of their cars. Audi dealerships I seen coast to coast look and have the feel of a VW dealership. Which is not what I want when I am spending 40,000+ dollars. VW makes an OK car for 20 grand or so, but people who are spending 40K or more expect to be treated as such. That's not being snobby, no one needs a German wundercar, a Ford will get you there too, it is just that BMWs are rewards for hard work and diligence and BMW (at least in Houston) does exactly that. Audi could care less.
No car, however good it may be, is not worth owning if the dealer network is so abysmal that it can not properly repair it and/or mistreats its customer. If you can name it, I have probably owned it at one time or another....and the only dealerships I seen as bad as Audi is Chrysler. Bad customer service affects resale value too....why buy a car guaranteed to give you a headache everytime it comes in for warranty work? And that is why I went back to BMW....with Audi I had too many unrepairable problems, an uncaring dealer, poor resale value and an unresponsive factory. Is a modded out S4 faster...who cares?
Audi fooled me once......never again.

less', which means they must care a lot because they 'could care less', when what they mean to say is that'they couldNT care less', meaning they care so little, that its impossible to care less than they already do?! Sheeezzz.
