I have a Tri-flow on my E30. When I first bought the car it had no cat as the PO lived ion a county that did not require emission checks. In that configuratio the car was pretty loud and downright annoying on the highway. I had to isntall a cat and the cat took a lot of the harshness and buzz out. Even with the cat it still sounds great as the car comes on the cam.
So with a cat and/or the baffles, it is very livable.

My car has the more subtle factory like tips. I personally do not care for the DTM tips.

I bought a Triflo "loud" DTM exhaust and I had a few questions. I heard a triflo once and it wasnt as bad as I anticipated. Can someone tell me how "livable" it is? I have the approach that I DO want the car to be louder so Im not gonna bitch. Im just curious how loud it is in the cabin when cruising. It seems alot of people have this exhaust and are pleased with it thus far.

My main question is about the DTM tips. I have seen on other cars with DTM tips that it leaves a filmy carbon residue on the bumper. Is this so with the triflo on the M3? If it is, I may consider getting new tips. Any idea where I can just see what other styles there are out there?

All your help is appreciated, thanks again- Im off to go party this lovely friday night =D
