They say there's a problem with the oil pans in the M3. Whenever it's pushed to the limits in a turn, the oil will shift to one side. Unfortunately, the hole is on one side only. I believe they say this causes he oil starvation problem and many people who AutoX have seen this problem. I read somewhere that people just add an extra quart of oil and that if you have the VDO gauges, you can see the pressure drop through corners. They also sell a high capacity oil pan. Hope this helps.
