My mechanic who only works on BMW's took it for a test drive, he said it was the fastest e36 that he has ever driven.

I picked it up and was blown away! I rocket through the gears now, they are coming so fast you have to remember to shift almost instantly after you just shifted. This car is so fast now. I decided to try a little clutch slip launch to see how much torque it had... the tires were smoking for like 10 seconds. The power is awesome! The car is not brutal fast in a scary way it just builds speed so much quicker than before! The engine sounds a lot better too, in my 325i motor the engine sounded strained when I revved it high, this motor loves to rev! It is great so far.

I put all of my old m50 engine intake hardware on the 3.2L engine, so it is OBD1 now. There were a few modifications that had to be made with brackets/sensors and the like but overall it seems to have gone real smoothly. I am putting in a M3 chip on Monday so that should make a huge difference as well, next is an M3 exhaust system.

I really recommend this swap to anyone who needs a new engine, I got the motor for 2800, and paid 2150 for installation.
